Privacy, in plain words
We count how many people visit this site. That's the whole story: no cookies, no ads, no following you around the internet, and nothing to sell.
What we count
When you open a page, we note that it was viewed: which page, the site that sent you here (if any), and your type of browser and device. Enough to know whether anyone is reading, not who is reading.
How we tell visits apart without cookies
Your IP address and browser details are mixed with a random value that changes every day, then put through a one-way scrambler. What comes out lets us count unique visitors for that day. The daily value is then deleted, so the result can never be turned back into you, and tomorrow you're a complete stranger again. Your IP address is not stored.
What we don't do
- No cookies, and nothing stored on your device to track you.
- No profile of you, and nothing you type is recorded.
- No ads, no selling data, no sharing it for anyone else's purposes.
- No tracking you on other websites.
The one thing your browser remembers
If you switch between light and dark, your browser remembers that choice for next time. It stays on your device; we never see it.

The legal version
Last updated 18 October 2026
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed on opstopus.ai is Opstopus. Contact: hello@opstopus.ai.
2. What data we process
Visit statistics. For each page view: the page address, the referring page, browser type and version, operating system, device type and screen size. To count unique visitors without cookies, the IP address and browser user agent are combined with the site and a random value that changes daily, and turned into a one-way hash. The daily value is deleted once that day's events are processed, so the hash cannot be linked back to a person. The IP address is used only for this calculation and is not stored.
Delivery and security. When your browser requests a page, our hosting and network provider receives your IP address and the details of the request, which it needs to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse.
Theme preference. If you use the light/dark switch, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us and contains no personal data.
3. Purposes and legal basis
We measure visits to understand whether people find the site and how to improve it, and we process request data to deliver and secure the site. Both rely on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), which we have weighed against your interests: the statistics cannot identify you, nothing is stored on your device for this purpose, and no profiles are built. Saving the theme preference is strictly necessary for a feature you ask for, so it does not require consent.
4. Recipients
We use processors who act only on our instructions under data processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR): an analytics provider, which processes and stores the visit statistics in the EU, and a hosting and network provider. We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Visit statistics are processed and stored in the EU. Our hosting and network provider runs a global network and may process request data outside the EU; where it does, it relies on the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep data
The daily value used for counting is deleted after that day's events are processed, and IP addresses are not stored. Visit statistics are kept for one year. Request data held by our hosting and network provider is kept only as long as it needs for delivery and security.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing (Art. 21 GDPR), and to data portability. Because the visit statistics cannot identify you, we usually cannot link them to you (Art. 11 GDPR), but write to us and we will help where we can. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in the EU country where you live or work or where you think the problem occurred.
8. No automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions about you or create profiles of visitors.
9. Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top of this section.
